Summary:
From the space Las Vegas looks as the brightest place on the Earth.
Body of Press Release:
May 15, 1905 an unremarkable auction was holden. As a result an absolutely useless piece of desert, located in Nevada United States, was bought for a pittance. Six years later, when there was fixed a railway station in Las Vegas, it became a town. But yet for very long time the future capital of American gambling business dragged out a miserable existence in the United States.
For long time Las Vegas continued to be an unimportant town, where, as everywhere else in Nevada United States, gambling was little spread. The town was waiting for his boss. It was Benjamin Zigelbaum, a scoundrel, nicknamed Bugsy Siegel.
The nature joined in Siegel features of a rascal with a human charm and even with a certain decency in a family life. Of course, sometimes there was talk about his gangster deals but nobody knew anything certain. The question "What do you do?" was replied “I am a sportsman” with a disarming smile.
In early 1945, Segal wanted to expand the business in the United States. He decided that players must gather in luxurious casinos like in Monte Carlo (he read about it somewhere). And the casinos must be much more chic than in distant Europe! Learning the map of Nevada (United States) Siegel jabbed his finger at random in Las Vegas.
Thus the history of the famous Las Vegas zone in the United States has begun. More than 70 stylish casinos, countless number of simpler gaming pavilions, luxury hotels, among which there are the biggest in the world MGM for 5005 rooms and the most expensive «El Wynn», where a room is a million of dollars. There are also plenty of rooms for shows, festivals and gala concerts. The scale of this universal breadth is eloquently demonstrated by the fact that the City of Sin in the United States, as Las Vegas is called, gobbles more electricity than the entire industry of France.
It must be said that the sin here is quite regulated, its boundaries are delineated by the formula «gambling, drinking and sex».
